Apple
Cider Vinegar – Poultice
Application:
Soak a piece of cotton in neat vinegar (can be diluted 2:1,
3:1 with water for people with sensitivities) Apply wet cloth
direct to the injured area and then wrap lightly in cling film
in order to retain the moisture. Leave for 2 hours. Break for
1 hour then repeat. Cover small cuts or grazes with Vaseline.
• ACV draws swelling and fluid away from injury. Substitute
the I is RICE with A to give you RACE (much faster).
• The optimum pH of the skin is pH 5.5, ACV has a pH of 5.5
and act as a buffer to normalise pH levels of injured soft tissue.
• ACV can be applied to a sprain or a torn muscle; it can be
applied as a poultice to any type of soft tissue injury such
as bruises, inflammation, soreness and areas of redness or heat.
• ACV has many uses other than an external poultice; it has
great benefits for arthritis patients, as a hair rinse, for
stings and rashes and even as an aid to weight loss!
Apple Cider Vinegar – Ingested
Directions: On arising take one dessertspoon of cider vinegar
with one teaspoon of clear honey in a tumbler of hot water,
if possible, 1 hour before breakfast. This can be taken 3 times
a day.
• ACV is made from mature cider apples and is a combination
of minerals, organic matter and acetic acid.
• It regulates the body’s metabolism through the quantities
of minerals that it contains.
• Cider vinegar dissolves the acid deposits so that they pass
out naturally via the kidneys. It saturates the bloodstream,
getting in between the joints, dissolving the acid deposits.
• It contains malic acid.
• ACV is a natural diuretic and acts as a slimming agent. ACV
is known to be a blood normaliser, will help reduce high blood
pressure and raise low blood pressure.
Epsom
Salt (Magnesium Sulphate) Bath
Dissolve
3-5 cups of Epsom salts in a bath of hot water. Do not add soaps,
bath cubes, salts or oils, as the alkalinity of these will fight
the acidity of the salts. Keep the water hot, by adding more
hot water. Waters should not be uncomfortably hot. Exercise
in the water as much as possible by moving the fingers, feet
etc. The heat of the water will open the pores of the skin,
enabling the Epsom salts to draw out the acid poisons. After
20 minutes get out of the bath and get into warm bed. This will
keep the pores open to draw out more acid. On rising take a
shower to wash away the accumulated acids.
• Can be purchased from chemists in large bags or from garden
centres as magnesium sulphate.
• Epsom salts can be used where there is calcification in the
joints or where there is stiffness and soreness after treatment
or physical activity such as sport or gardening.
• It can be used locally for hand or foot calcification and
also as a general aid to relaxation and a preventative.
• It works by reducing the acid build up in the body and working
towards a normal acid/alkaline balance.
• It is very useful in cases of fever and colds or “flu”. |
